CHEF KENNETH ARNESON OF THE RADISSON FORT MCDOWELL RESORT TAKES HOME FIRST PLACE IN ‘BEST CHEFS OF THE WEST CULINARY COMPETITION’

Scottsdale, Ariz.Sysco Az takes great pleasure in congratulating Chef Kenneth Arneson of the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort for taking top honors at the 16th Annual Taste of the Seasons cooking competition. The competition sponsored by Sysco Foods and comparable to The Food Network’s “Iron Chef” program, challenged entrants to prepare a dish using Butcher Block Reserve Eye Of Lamb Loin and two mystery ingredients (unsweetened Bakers Chocolate and Raw Hominy) in the space of 60 minutes. Chef Arnesons’ dish of Lavender Pork Belly Wrapped Lamb loin with mint chimichurri atop a hand formed Oaxaca cheese quesadilla, sealed the deal as he beat out 17 other accomplished chefs from across the valley to take home the title and $500 prize! This is Chef Arnesons’ second year in a row winning this competition making him our very first back to back champion.
